15% Silver "phos copper" brazing alloy rod for joining copper to copper (with or without flux) & copper to brass (flux required). Commonly usedin plumbing & HVAC applications; copper pipe, hot water tanks, plumbing fittings, etc. Excellent for gap-filling where close fit-up does not exist, and where thermal expansion and service vibration are involved. When heated above liquidus temperature will flow into tight connections. Highest joint ductility and strength in HVAC-R applications. Melting Range (approx): 645-800 degree C. AWS Specification A5.8-B CuP5.
SUITABLE FOR:
- Joining copper to copper - can be used without flux, due to phosphorous content
- Joining copper to brass - flux required
- Popular for copper pipe, plumbing fittings, hot water tanks, etc
